[sumo] Effect of jungyo but off topic

I know someone who is Asian and has a yahoo.de email address
because of having a relative living in Germany and registering
while visiting there. Those addresses are "portable". Likewise, I
have an email address with a .jp extension because I registered in
Japan and the .jp was required by the email provider (duh!). but,
I live in New York.
While I did wonder myself at the upgraded English (so to speak),
Ms. LeCroix (sp?) would not be the first to have different levels
of a language in different communications. Doesn't really mean
anything to me, although I am tempted to pose another question,
but off-list.
