Ms. Simmons it is you who are not paying attention.
He is being punished for telling the organization that
makes millions from his presence that he was not
physically well enough to participate in a tour that
lines said organization's pockets...but was shown on
tape participating in a very public charity event in
his home country. I don't see any evidence of the
Yokozuna attempting to hide his attendance at said
charity event, which makes the entire reaction in
Japan completely silly and the punishment outlandish
in the extreme.
He is being punished for not making the kyokai extra
money in the off period.
