I don't see evidence that Asashoryu is that indispensible to the
Kyokai.  Asashoryu is not that popular among Japanese fans, and there
is a new yokozuna in town to embrace.  If anything, this whole
situation shows me just how much Asashoryu needs sumo, rather than the
other way around.
