Ack, I am SO bent out of shape about this!
 
If Asa were Japanese, would the punishment have been so harsh?  Probably not.
 
If Asa were Japanese, would he have screwed up in that way?  Most likely not.
 
He's my hero, but he doesn't look even the least bit stiff in that soccer vid (thanks, BTW, to the person who posted that link).  Having said that, I do think that TWO bashos is a bit much.
 
If he really has stress fractures (and rotor cuff injuries and ligament damage), that kind if injury takes a long time to heal, much longer than the rikishi will usually permit themselves.  So I hope my hero takes advantage of his time sitting in the corner to really heal himself and come roaring back.
 
Meanwhile, if Micky isn't doing the happy dance, he probably should be!  :D
