Subject: [sumo] GREAT ANNOUNCEMENT

My friend Nancy and I were having dinner at one of
our favorite Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles when
in
walked Musashimaru and Akinoshima....asked if we could take a photo. He
gave a very
small, shy smile and nodded. Snap! ... no one else, except
for the sushi chefs, knew who these esteemed
customers were. (Linda)

What a lovely encounter, and thank you for sharing. It's one of those
things one can only hope you'll be ready for when it happens...like having
your camera handy, and also having the courage to ask. (After all, you have
to ask to receive!) The closest thing to that that ever happened to me was
not sumo-related. A couple years ago while I was in Cambodia, the new King
was being driven along a country road and when only about four feet away he
leaned his head out the window and waved at me! (Sure wish I had a picture
of that...not quick enough!) Keep up the good run-ins!
