[sumo] [List Admin] Change over procedures

Hi all,

I know I've been MIA still but I do promise you I am working hard
in the background on the list migration issue. I wanted to give everyone
an idea of how things will go when it does happen.

When the time comes, the server will go offline for a few hours
then come back up under the new IP address. As mailing list users you
will not need to do anything at all. The only impact will be that the
list will be unavailable for the few hours it takes to move things and for
DNS to propagate.

From a user perspective, messages to the list will be
undeliverable for a few hours then everything will start flowing as if
nothing happened (theoretically). Most of the people who live closer to
the actual home of Sumo will likely sleep right through the whole thing.

I am not anticipating any problems with this but, as Kofuji can
attest, computers and networks tend to be less than cooperative even for
minor changes.

If anyone needs to reach me during the time we're offline my
backup email is joe.klemmer at gmail.com (yes, I really should get one that
says kuramarujo at gmail.com one of these days).

 	Ok, I'm off to bed.

'Night,
K-jo the sleepy
