One reason why I don't like Yahoogroups is that for the last few 
months they put too many "extras" in each e-mail so that my workplace 
classified all Yahoogroups as spam and they got caught in my 
workplace's spamfilter.  I had to resubscribe to all my Yahoogroups 
with an alternative e-mail address.  Now last month Yahoogroups took 
the extra junk off e-mails that use the groups and they are back to 
coming to my work e-mail...for now, at least.
