At long last, here is your new banzuke for the Natsu 2007 tournament.

Doitsuyama takes over the top spot on the banzuke as Ozeki east. Akemisamaru 
fills in the west slot. Heruwejima falls to O2e and Kadoban status. Heru-san 
will need a KK next basho in order to avoid demotion.

We have three candidates for Ozeki promotion heading into Natsu. 
Tamanaogijima has 20 wins over the last two basho and can achieve promotion 
with 10 more in Natsu. Mushi has collected 23 victories over the last two, 
but will need a minimum of 9 wins in order to get promoted as I have decided 
that I will not promote anyone off an 8-7 basho. Ulsimitsuki also has an 
outside shot at promotion, but will need 12 wins to get there.

There were five rikishi promoted from Juryo to Makuuchi. Only one of those 
five was a shin-Makuuchi, that being Zeokage. The new M12w makes his top 
division debut after 19 tournaments spent in Juryo and the lower divisions. 
Kofuji and Zentoryu return to the top after three basho abscences, while 
Toljokinodo and Charliki return after spending last basho in Juryo.

A large number of non-kosho abscences in Juryo created a whole lot of 
openings in the second division. No less than six rikishi made the trip up 
from Makushita to fill those empty slots. Three of the promotees are making 
their sekitori debuts. One of those three, Jesinofuji, has set a new record 
for Most basho to Juryo Promotion, having labored for 25 tournaments in the 
lower divisions before finally making it (in relative terms, that's four 
years of trying). He is joined by Kitanoyama, who debuts after 13 basho 
spent in the lower divisions, and Jakusotsu, who debuts after a relatively 
quick 8 tournaments since his Hatsu-Dohyo.

Rejoining the paid ranks are Misisko, who returns after 2 tournaments in 
Makushita, Taka, who comes back to Juryo for the first time in two years, 
and Areyama, who makes it back to the paid ranks after 8 tournaments in the 
lower divisions.
