Not to worry, Jezz. I wasn't alluding to you when I spoke about Asa's
detractors, I am just very much aware that they are out there..........:-)

Ouch!
I am starting to wish I'd never entered this thread.....
Please, please do not label me as an Asashoryu-hater, I'm anything
other than that! :) I think Joe P won't mind me saying that he is
not an Asashoryu hater either, but more of a worshipper.
To be honest, I did not realise that Asashoryu's injury was so bad - I
am not sure I was even aware that he had an injury (which shows how
well he did to cover it up).
Many thanks for the insider information. My respect for the Yokozuna
has grown even more (and it was immense already!) after reading your
email.
My flippant (teasing) remark to Joe about Asashoryu's appearance on
the dohyo being 'meaningless' in regards to appearing on the dohyo,
was following on from Joe's post, as he seemed to think that my
original point was that Futeno was correct to sit out his bout. Nor
was my point in any ways to do with Asashoryu's appearance on
senshuraku, despite his heavy injury.....
I am hoping that I haven't inadvertently dug myself into a deeper hole
with this email. Quick! Somebody take this spade away from me!
