Well, I'll have a few photos in the next issue of Sumo Fan Magazine(due out
on the next banzuke release day, October 30), and you can really tell how
proud he is - unless it's because he's standing next to me:-)  NO flames
please - I will edit out my image.

And, Doitsuyama spoke about Tochinoshin and his opponent in his Lower
Division results commentary:

" Tokitairyu met Georgian Tochinoshin for the first time in the jonidan
yusho kettei-sen, both having entered Ozumo in the Haru basho this year.
Both have quite similar height and weight, 190 cm and 129 kg, but Tokitairyu
is four years older, being already 23 years. The older rikishi, from
Tokitsukaze-beya, won the yusho with a yoritaoshi."

After which he posted all of the lower division day 15 results. He didn't
mention the university connection - which one is it, anyway? - but there is
always a fine summary before the day's detailed results are listed.

I wish I could have seen that! I had a full morning on Sunday and missed his
bout by 15 minutes.
BTW, did anybody mention that Tochinoshin got a fine 7-0 and was only beaten
in the Jonidan play-off by a
23-year-old university man? It was disappointing, but Tokitairyu was _very_
much faster at the tachiai.
