Like several of the other regulars, I bought a book of tojitsu-ken on the
first day of advance booking -- well worth avoiding the hassle of lining up
each day, even though I didn't return from Australia till Day 2, and have
been too busy to go even for my usual first hour on some other days. And
yes, the rain cleared up later on today and we had a very muggy day, in the
shadow of a severe typhoon that did a heap of damage in the south and west
-- bad enough to kills people, blow trains over and rip the roofs off
houses.

Incidentally my prediction that today would be the third consecutive full
house came out correct. Even for a public holiday it was a very fair crowd.
As I've been saying for the past year, sumo is on the upturn again (though
getting in from tomorrow to Friday should not be too hard).
