[sumo] Akebono's mother- a bit more

Akebono's mother passed away on the 17th. She was 60. She died of 
respiratory failure at a local hospital on Oahu. Akebono got the news 
while preparing for a New-Japan wrestling match in Fukuoka. "He hid his 
grief, and won his match for his mother in heaven", says the reporter. 
He went on to wrestle on the 19th as well, and returned to Tokyo this 
morning. He will be leaving for Hawaii to attend the funeral, which will 
be attended by close relatives only as per his mother's wish. He had 
lost his father 13 years ago.
He cried loudly upon hearing the news, but decided to do what he had to 
do as a professional and got in the ring. "I'm OK now. I wanted her to 
see me doing my very best..", he said, after the match.
He last saw her in August when he went to Hawaii, knowing she was in 
poor health. While he was there, she collapsed and was admitted to a 
hospital, where he looked after her daily. They managed to have some 
quality one- on- one time together then.
