I try to find something good to say about every
rikishi especially those who made it to Makuuchi but I
hardly have anything positive to say about him.

By 2001 I believe he was already 25 years old or
something and now around 30, he has not shown anything
to get excited over in the last five years.

I have not seen anyone who gives up as easily as he
does. If he is anywhere close to a meter or so of the
edge, he appears to let it go of himself and easily
gets pushed over. Win or lose (but lose mostly in
Makuuchi), his sumo is usually over in a few seconds
as he easily gets overpowered even by a much smaller
opponent.

I remember at this Aki Bahsho on Day 8, on Japanese
NHK they had a former Japanese baseball manager
Hoshino with Kitanofuji and one of them comment after
seeing Jumonji easily pushed out of the dohyo, "Don't
you just want to slap him hard to get some sense into
him!"

Probably he or his oyakata heard the comment and the
next day, he stuck out and won after some tough
struggles. Unfortunately that did not last long and
he was back to his old self the rest of the basho.
