Absolutely yes, we should. And while we're at it, let's add a note of hope
that they will prevail upon NHK to continue the bi-lingual broadcasts,

The one thing I believe that remains to be done is for all of us who wrote a
letter requesting this change now write a letter of appreciation 
to TV Japan.   I believe this would be the proper next step in Japanese 
culture, which is what we are dealing with. Most importantly, I'm confident
it will go a long way in keeping these lines of communication open.  You
never know, we may actually think of something else that would enhance the
broadcasts in the future. This relationship is nonexistent in the west.  I
urge everyone to take the few minutes necessary to keep this one in the
excellent condition it obviously is in.
