[sumo] NHK and Subscription Fees

In Europe JSTV (about the same as TV Japan) broadcasts time delayed on
the day, Eurosport only the digest.
Without paying the big JSTV Subscription Fee you still have the NHK live
news with maybe the 3 top bouts. And you can listen to the English
commentary. NHK gets no fee, but you are supposed to have paid your
public viewing fee anyway according to the rules in your country.
NHK and the NSK could someday decide on sumo to be put into the free
International Broadcast - not likely though.
Lately Holyday Interview with the former Kotozakura (last Sadogatake) or
Close-Up Gendai on Kotooshu going for ozeki were shown.
Also not to be missed is the appearance of Demon Kogure on the news show
"Tsunagaru Terebi".
The report on Hakuho's first try was scrambled - as always only the
secondary sound free.

Imagine which great works we would miss.
The brilliant ideas that might have failed to take form without the
incentive to prevent its free use.
